Self-Initiated UX Case Study Project
NavAid App
A mobile app designed to help visually impaired users navigate safely using voice guidance, vibration feedback, and real-time assistance.

Project Overview:
NavAid is an assistive navigation app designed to help visually impaired users move independently and safely in public spaces. The app provides real-time guidance using voice instructions, vibration feedback, and simple visual cues.
It aims to reduce dependency on others and improve confidence while navigating unfamiliar environments. This project focuses on accessibility and inclusive design, solving real-world challenges faced by blind and low-vision users.
Problem Statement:
Visually impaired users often face challenges while navigating independently in public spaces. They rely on traditional tools like white canes, which do not provide information about obstacles, directions, or indoor navigation. This increases the risk of accidents
and limits their independence. There is a need for a simple and accessible solution
that provides real-time navigation support using multiple sensory inputs such as voice
and vibration.
Target Users:
Primary Users: Blind and low-vision individuals.
Secondary Users: Elderly users with vision difficulties, people navigating unfamiliar places.
